Allied Health Lead- Occupational Therapist | Blue Care | Allied Health Team
Employment Term: Permanent Full Time
Location: Statewide Services QLD
Remuneration: $***** p/hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
5 weeks annual leave
Your part in our BlueCare team
As the Allied Health Lead- Occupational Therapy, working in collaboration with the Allied Health Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of a high quality and sustainable Occupational Therapy services in Central and North Queensland and via Telehealth. This will be embedded into the Neighbourhood service delivery model.
You will use your leadership and clinical expertise to provide dedicated and focussed support to a team of Occupational Therapists working within the Specialised Services Statewide Allied Health Team. You will connect this group across Queensland, making it a cohesive unit, removing professional isolation.
Your engagement in Multi-Disciplinary Care forums will embed the work of your team into local Neighbourhoods, ensuring care remains client centred and focused around addressing holistic care needs. These forums will also ensure collaborative allied health practice continues and grows in strength alongside your equivalent professional lead colleagues.
You will drive best practice standards of care whilst providing staff support through a variety of means including; performance development conversations, clinical supervision, professional development and intensive on-boarding support for new starter and graduates.
You will be intricately involved in ensuring BlueCare client's receive access to timely and quality care and that their needs are met and responded to. This may extend into managing complex clients cases required.
As a key player in the Allied Health leadership team you will be integral in implementing BlueCare processes, systems and people management practices and the attainment of performance KPIs.
A challenging but diverse and rewarding role, you will have;
Extensive experience working in the field of Occupational Therapy, operating with professional independence.
Demonstrated ability to undertake complex projects or duties.
Evidence of provision of professional advice or consultancy to influence decisions relating to the development of programs or standards of care, policies and/or procedures.
Demonstrated management experience – coordinating workflows, performance monitoring and reporting, resource management, driving service sustainability.
Proven leadership capability within a team.
Experience of training staff and providing clinical supervision.

Tertiary qualifications in the Occupational Therapy with post-graduate studies highly regarded
Current AHPRA registration
Staff must satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or organisational policies
