Job Description
A 12-month opportunity exists for a talented Actuarial Senior Analyst (or high-performing Analyst) to join the Master Trust team of a global investment manager in Sydney.
You will play a key role in providing actuarial and analytical support across projects, strategy, and ongoing management activities associated with the Master Trust – helping members achieve better outcomes before and through retirement.
This is a diverse role offering exposure to superannuation, investments, insurance, and retirement innovation, including working on an award-winning retirement initiative.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of Defined Benefit and Pension-related actuarial tasks.
* Provide analytical and modelling support for product innovation and retirement initiatives.
* Contribute to the development of strategy in response to legislative and market changes.
* Review and check complex calculations, models, and member communications for technical accuracy.
* Assist with the insurance tender project and review insurer offers and pricing.
* Monitor and report on investment performance, unit pricing, and DB/insurance reserves.
* Analyse member data and deliver insights for business strategy.
* Contribute to cross-functional projects, policy reviews, and process improvements.
About You
We are seeking an ambitious actuarial professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. To be successful, you will bring:
* A degree in Actuarial Studies, Finance, Commerce or Economics with strong academic results.
* Progression toward Actuaries Institute exams (AIAA/FIAA) highly regarded but not essential.
* 2–5+ years' experience in actuarial, superannuation, or insurance roles.
* Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with excellent judgement.
* High proficiency in Excel (including VBA); knowledge of Access and R advantageous.
* A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively across teams.
