Job Description
The Engineering Officer is responsible for providing technical support to the District Engineer, encompassing engineering survey services, project management, and assistance with managing contractors and assets. Key projects include roads, drainage systems, footpaths/cycleways, parking areas, traffic facilities, boat ramps, and recreational facilities.
This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, including data collection, setout, and WAE (Weighted Average Engineering) tasks. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, enabling effective coordination and supervision of projects and contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Diploma in Surveying or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Equivalent qualification and/or experience
* Extensive related experience in civil engineering design & construction and/or maintenance, providing engineering survey services as required
* Experience in project management
* Class C Driver's Licence
* NSW General Construction induction card (white card) or accepted interstate alternative
* Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
