Cost Controller Role
This is a key position within our organisation, responsible for managing and reviewing project expenses, preparing reports, and supporting the delivery team with financial oversight.
About the Role:
* Assess financial data to inform project planning and cost management.
* Prepare and review regular project reports and performance metrics.
* Monitor budgets, forecast project costs, and ensure accurate cash flow management.
* Audit procurements, subcontractor payments, and wage records.
* Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve cost-related issues and manage debtors.
* Support external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
* Promote cost-saving and profit-enhancement initiatives.
* Maintain financial schedules and reporting in line with regulatory and management requirements.
Your Qualifications:
* A CPA qualification (or working towards it) and a tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in finance, cost control, or project accounting, within the construction or infrastructure sector.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting with attention to detail.
* Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as MS Excel, Aconex, Team Binder, or similar.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – able to collaborate with project teams, vendors, and auditors.
