POSITION: Development & Communications Manager
TERM: Full Time or Part Time, 18-month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement, starting as soon as possible.
SALARY RANGE: >$90,000

THE ROLE
This role reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for implementing Moorambilla's fundraising, business development, and communications strategies to:
* Increase revenue from donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic foundations through grant applications, campaigns, donor management, and partnership development.
* Maintain consistent and engaging messaging across all media platforms to promote events, increase community engagement, and enhance brand awareness.
The successful candidate will be passionate, experienced in fundraising, stakeholder management, and communications, and committed to advancing the arts and cultural sector in Australia. They will collaborate with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, Board, and communications team to meet organizational goals.

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Moorambilla Voices Ltd. is an award-winning multi-arts development program serving rural and remote children and youth in NW NSW. Over 20 years, it has expanded to reach over 3,500 participants annually, fostering innovation and excellence in arts education, including Indigenous cultural projects and community performances.
The program aims to empower regional youth through arts, with a focus on inclusion and cultural respect, especially for Indigenous communities. Our core values include integrity, respect, access, persistence, connection, and belief.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor and Bequest Strategy
* Develop and execute philanthropic campaigns for annual giving, major gifts, and bequests.
* Build and maintain relationships with donors and manage stewardship activities.
* Organize fundraising events and ensure compliance with legislation.
Trusts and Foundations
* Assist in grant applications and reporting to philanthropic trusts and foundations.
* Identify new funding opportunities and develop relationships with key contacts.
Corporate Partnerships
* Identify and develop long-term corporate partnership opportunities.
* Create tailored pitches and manage ongoing engagement and benefits delivery.
Communications and Marketing
* Develop strategies to promote Moorambilla's activities and raise profile.
* Create content for various platforms, including social media, website, and print.
* Manage media relations and monitor campaign effectiveness.
Additional Duties
* Ensure proper acknowledgment of partners and supporters.
* Attend events and perform other duties as required.
SELECTION CRITERIA
* Proven experience in fundraising, including securing donations from various sources.
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities.
* Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
* Experience in arts, education, or nonprofit sectors, with social media proficiency.
* Established networks with potential sponsors and funders.
* Experience in grant writing and reporting.
* Interest and knowledge in arts, regional communities, and Indigenous cultures.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
