Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team in a correctional facility.
About the Role: As a Casual Night Shift Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary care, including medication administration, clinical assessments, emergency responses, and post-trauma evaluations. You will work autonomously to provide high-quality patient care and support the rehabilitation of offenders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee complete rounds for medication administration
* Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations
* Execute prompt emergency interventions
* Carry out detailed post-trauma / injury assessments
* Deliver a spectrum of essential primary healthcare services
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor of Nursing and unrestricted AHPRA
* Minimum of 3 years full-time postgraduate experience in Australia as an RN
* Experience in Primary Health, Rural Health or Emergency Nursing (desirable)
* Corrections experience advantageous
* Venipuncture and cannulation experience preferred
* Current ALS
* National Criminal History Check (issued within last 3 months)
* Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency
* Ability to do night shifts
