Our client is a well‑established fabrication and welding business based in Malaga, WA, delivering high‑quality stainless steel and carbon steel solutions across a range of industries. With a strong reputation for workmanship and reliability, they specialise in custom fabrication, repairs, installations and pipework, particularly within food & beverage, breweries and dairy environments.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join a growing workshop and site‑based team. This is a hands‑on, all‑rounder role suited to a tradesperson who can both fabricate and weld, with the ability to work independently across a variety of custom and repair projects. The role involves light to medium fabrication, predominantly working with stainless steel (approximately 70%) alongside carbon steel. Work is varied and includes one‑off fabrication jobs, repairs, tubing lines, pipe spooling and on‑site installations.
What You Will Be Doing
* Light to medium fabrication and welding work
* TIG welding (essential), primarily on stainless steel
* Fabrication of custom items such as tables, frames and benches
* Repairs, tubing lines, pipe spooling and on‑site installations
* Working with sheet metal, tube and light to medium pipework
* Conducting site measurements and installing completed works
* Operating workshop machinery including presses and lathes
* General machining and turning for ad‑hoc tasks
* Working safely across workshop and site environments
Roster & Hours
* Monday to Friday
* Approximately 8‑hour days
* Start time between 6:00am 7:00am
* Finish around 3:00pm (30‑minute paid lunch)
* Occasional weekend work with overtime rates
(Availability for at least one weekend per month expected)
What You Will Need
* Trade Certificate Light Sheet Metal or Heavy Fabrication
* Ability to both fabricate and weld
* Strong TIG welding experience
* White Card
* Forklift Licence (not essential but may be required)
* C‑Class Manual Drivers Licence
* Confined Space (desirable)
* Working at Heights (desirable)
Candidates with stainless steel fabrication experience, particularly within food & beverage, breweries or dairy environments, will be highly regarded.
