The Role
We are looking for a Urgent Care Practice Nurse – Enrolled Nurse's to join our Dapto and Corrimal Urgent Care Service.
As a vital team member, you will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure all patients that present to the Urgent Care Service are given appropriate care in collaboration with the Registered Nurses (RN).

Your Responsibilities
- Assist the RN in providing high-quality patient care for injuries or illnesses.
- Perform care activities including administering vaccinations, wound care, plastering, and providing patient education.
- Conduct diagnostic tests relevant to the patient's condition as directed by the RN.
- Assist with work cover injury management and provide phlebotomy (if applicable).
- Ensure patient care activities are within scope of practice and comply with ForHealth policies and procedures.
- Support with patient services, greeting and assisting patients, monitoring appointment book, register and update registration details as required.
- Provide guidance relating to inclusion and exclusion criteria over the phone as required.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked clinical area, completing administrative tasks such as Medicare billing, coding, and scanning documentation into patient files.
- Provide high quality comprehensive documentation in all patient files.
- Participate in workplace health and safety practices, ensuring all incidents and hazards are reported as per ForHealth policies.
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Must be available evenings and weekends.
- Experience in a primary care setting, with a focus on chronic disease management, prevention, and health promotion is desirable.
- 3 years of direct clinical practice nursing care experience is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- A passion for patient-centered care and a personable approach.
