Based in Canberra, you will work within the Property and Buildings Group as a Graduate in the Technology Systems team.
**The Team**
The Technology Systems Team is a specialist team within WSP that focuses on providing technology and integration consultancy services. The specialist services covered include Audio Visual (AV), Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, Automation and Control Systems (SMART), Master Planning & Strategy and Security Consultancy & Engineering.
The Australia & New Zealand Technology Systems Team consists of 25+ engineers located in Australia and Manila, led by Roneel Singh, positioned with the larger Specialist Group under the leadership of Hay Sun Blunt at the Property & Buildings Board level.
With the addition of the Rail Comms Team, and the ITS Team, WSP is able to provide over 60+ Specialist Technology, Telecommunications and Security Engineers and Consultants in Australia and over 25 Specialist Engineers and Consultants in New Zealand who are focused on the development and deployment of technology-based solutions. Internationally this figure is closer to 1200, making WSP one of the largest and most integrated Technology Consulting businesses internationally.
The Specialist Division of WSP includes other value add disciplines including Acoustics, Fire Engineering, Sustainability, Facades, Waste, Program Delivery, Vision Design (Specialist Lighting) to name a few. Specialists consists of a team of approximately 200 plus engineers and professionals located across most of the WSP offices in the Australia & New Zealand region.
**The Role**
You will develop your future ready skills in Technology Systems Engineering & Consultancy and provide support to the team on a national basis. Part of your core responsibilities will be assisting with technical delivery and supporting day to day Consulting activities of the Technology Systems team in Victoria and nationally or internationally as required.
- Support and contribute towards the growth of Technology Systems Consultancy in Victoria under the guidance of the respective Discipline Leaders
- Learn and assist with winning work & business development activities in Victoria as required by the business
- Learn and assist with leading small to medium multi-disciplinary projects
- Supporting key Technology Systems Clients
- Working across all sectors of the business where Technology Systems assistance as required
- Assisting other Technology Systems disciplines as required
- Assist with development of Technical Documentation Standards
- Maintaining the required licences and accreditation to undertake specialist consulting work
- Attending meetings with a Senior support to develop client briefs
- Detailed documentation of systems with the guidance of a Senior Consultant
- Attending training sessions as required for the different Technology Systems disciplines
- Being part of the Graduate Recruitment Program by WSP
**The ideal person for this role will**:

- Ideally have 2 to 3 years relevant professional experience coupled with a Degree in Engineering, leading to membership of IE Australia or equivalent.
- Hold an Associate Diploma, Diploma, Degree or work-based experience
- Have a general understanding of one discipline in building services
- Experience or understanding of Bluebeam, Revit, Visio and AutoCAD (not essential but advantageous)
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills (very strong in written English)
- Driver's license as you may be required to travel to site as part of your role
