Procurement Analyst Role

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises.

The Procurement team is responsible for securing equipment for Vantage's data centers, from conception to commissioning. The team works closely with Sales, Operations, New Site Development, and Engineering to lead these efforts.

This role involves record keeping, assisting in obtaining vendor submittals, maintaining product specifications, working with vendors, and ensuring specifications are adhered to according to company process.

As a Procurement Analyst, you will monitor and manage contracts, prepare status and tracking reports, support the Procurement Managers and Director in their daily tasks, and collaborate regularly with supply chain partners and internal teams.

Travel may be necessary to various factories for factory witness testing, audits, and on-boarding of new vendors.


Key Responsibilities:

* Continuously work with the procurement team to provide needed assistance daily to ensure department goals are met.

* Manage and assist multiple single line diagrams, product specifications, and drive OFCI Equipment submittals to closure (approval).

* Understand RFIs and RFQs for sourcing equipment for low voltage switchgear, medium switchgear, transformers, electrical skids, CRAH's, chillers, generators, UPS's, and other data center equipment systems.

* Coordinate with vendors on continuous quality improvement.

* Track equipment status with vendors to meet scheduled dates set by construction schedules.

* Assist in analyzing vendors' quotes, change orders, and submittals.

* Learn and manage financial software to enter PO's, review invoices, track budgets, allocate equipment from purchase to projects.

* Support Procurement Managers and Finance/Accounting with invoicing issues.

* Drive project-level tasks and milestones assigned by the project management team.

* Coordinate with vendors for scheduling start-up and commissioning support services.

* Maintain and develop supplier relationships.

* Help develop and maintain record keeping and reports for the business.

* Refine procurement processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.

* Work with compliance to maintain department and vendor guidelines.

* Collaborate with operations personnel to ensure proper spare parts and service programs are in place.

* Conduct safety evaluations with vendors and project sites to ensure compliance.


Duties and Accountabilities:

* Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify specifications and operational requirements.

* Work with finance and compliance departments to ensure all purchases are properly costed to a project.

* Coordinate approval and release of necessary equipment per construction schedule.

* Investigate and work with vendors to ensure products meet Vantage's needs.

* Support open and transparent communication with project teams for project delivery success.

* Be accountable for responsibilities to provide excellent service to Vantage and its customers.

* Assist in managing equipment inventory planning efforts and forecasting.


Requirements:

* Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience required.

* 0-3 years of experience in a supply chain role required.

* Data Center, commercial, or industrial equipment experience strongly preferred.

* Aptitude to learn quickly and drive results required.

* Strong business acumen with a strong commercial background required.

* Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques required.

* Less than 10% travel required.
