We are seeking a Career Medical Officer – Psychiatry (Dual Disability) to join a multidisciplinary mental health team on a permanent, full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight) in Hobart. This role focuses on delivering high-quality mental health care to patients with intellectual disability and psychiatric comorbidities, working in line with National Mental Health Standards and relevant legislation. You will operate with a high level of autonomy while remaining accountable to the Dual Disability Consultant Psychiatrist, and play a key role in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with families, carers, and external stakeholders including the NDIS. General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) Extensive experience in Dual Disability, including psychiatry of intellectual disability and adult psychiatry Demonstrated understanding of the Guardianship and Administration Act 1995 Experience working with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), families, and consumers Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team environment Eligibility to act as an approved Medical Practitioner under the Mental Health Act Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and clinical governance frameworks Desirable: Current Driver’s Licence The Package
