Position Overview
The City of Casey, one of Victoria's largest and most diverse cities, is seeking a Customer Data and Acquisition Officer to support data management and customer service related to rates and property records. This is a full-time, permanent position offering flexible work arrangements, including WFH days and a monthly RDO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain the Name and Address Register (NAR), including linking, delinking, and merging addresses/names, and resolve related issues.
2. Generate ad-hoc data reports for internal teams.
3. Process Notices of Acquisitions and follow up on account balances post-property transfer.
4. Update and maintain rate and property records, providing excellent customer assistance.
5. Respond to enquiries regarding rates and property matters within specified service levels.
6. Assist with banking processes and electoral data maintenance.
7. Ensure the accuracy of the Council's rating database.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Relevant qualifications in business, property, accounting, or extensive relevant experience.
2. Experience in local government customer service, property, valuations, rates, and revenue administration.
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Local Government Acts and Valuation of Land Act.
4. Proficiency with computerised systems supporting rates revenue functions.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders.
6. Willingness to undergo background checks and community-minded attitude.
