We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join our Melbourne Tax Services team. This role offers exposure to a diverse client base and a broad range of tax matters, including domestic and cross‑border advisory and compliance. You’ll work closely with Partners and other service lines to deliver high‑quality outcomes, while also leading and developing a growing team. This role would suit an experienced Tax professional who enjoys combining strong technical expertise with people leadership and client relationships, and who is looking for a clear pathway to future career progression.
Your Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality tax advisory and compliance services across corporate and international tax matters, including complex transactions and CbC reporting
Provide technically sound, commercial advice to clients operating across a range of industries and jurisdictions
Assist with complex technical issues and ATO matters, working closely with Partners
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
Manage and mentor team members, including delegation, coaching, performance management and development
Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the Tax Services division
Identify business development opportunities and support cross‑division collaboration
Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards
What We’re Looking For
A relevant university qualification with 5+ years’ experience in business tax (Manager level)
Postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CTA and/or a Masters of Tax
Proven experience in a tax advisory or professional services environment
Strong technical capability across corporate and/or international tax
Demonstrated experience managing client engagements and leading teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative, relationship‑driven approach aligned to our CARE values
Strong attention to detail, commercial acumen, and the ability to juggle competing priorities
