Project Lead for Civil Engineering Works
We are seeking a highly skilled civil engineer to lead our transgrid project team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a site-based environment, communicates effectively and professionally, and can confidently manage civil works on a major energy project.
About the Role:
* Lead and oversee civil construction works including earthworks, concrete foundations, drainage, access roads and structural installations.
* Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure all works comply with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Collaborate with subcontractors, monitor progress and maintain project timelines.
* Conduct site inspections, quality checks and ensure documentation aligns with project requirements.
* Promote safe work practices across all civil activities and maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety.
* Prepare accurate reports and maintain effective communication with the project team.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in civil construction management, particularly on large-scale projects.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* High level of organisational and time management skills.
