**About the Role**
Due to the ongoing growth of the Rivalea business, we are currently recruiting a process driven **Logistics Coordinator** to join our team in a newly created position. Based at our Diamond Valley Pork (DVP) processing site in Laverton, and reporting directly to the Rivalea Logistics Manager, this role is responsible for the successful execution of export sea freight and air freight logistics.
- Build effective relationships with external stakeholders including transport companies' personnel, storage facilities and customers
- Booking Freight/Orders with the relevant transport companies or 3PLs
- Coordinate freight contractors' daily activities for the Company and monitor performance
- Check orders and invoices for integrity and maintain records for accuracy
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure orders are shipped and delivered on time
- Assist team members to ensure orders are shipped within the permitted time
- Promptly resolve freight issues as they arise
- Analyse and optimize the Company's logistics processes
- Negotiate with freight contractors and stay informed on developments to minimise costs
- Understand current freight rates for your allocated markets
- Process freight claims and invoicing
**About You**
- Previous experience in a similar Logistics role ideal, but not required
- Strong administration skills
- Demonstrated experience with basic cause & effect relationships
- Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus
- Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Working knowledge of WH&S, Quality Assurance, and People & Performance procedures
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and management
- Ability to maintain records and analyse data to produce accurate reports
- Holder of a current driver's licence
