Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations.
The key responsibilities of this role include developing and implementing production plans aligned with short to medium-term planning targets, ensuring compliance with site standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Possess a BEng degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
* Proven underground hard rock mining experience, preferably in gold, with exposure to all production phases, including ventilation and drill and blast, ideally using longhole open stoping methods
* Have a solid understanding of machinery and maintenance of mobile mechanical equipment

About This Role:
* Be organized and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the Supervisor
* Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets
* Ensure that stope designs and drill and blast plans maximize ore extraction and minimize dilution
* Lead and direct all members of the technical and operational mining team, ensuring clear communication of goals
* Inform the Underground Manager of issues affecting safe and efficient production through regular communication
