Swickers Kingaroy is a state-of-the-art export meat processing facility in Queensland's South Burnett region. Employing approximately 850 people, Swickers processes around 95% of Queensland's pork and is the largest Australian-owned pork processor, supplying both domestic and international markets and operates at true FMCG scale – just without the capital-city congestion.
As part of our ongoing investment in plant performance, reliability and future growth, we are seeking an experienced Plant Engineering Manager to lead engineering, maintenance and reliability across our Kingaroy site.
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a key senior leadership role responsible for setting engineering strategy, driving continuous improvement and ensuring plant availability through robust systems, disciplined execution and strong people leadership.
For interstate candidates, this role offers the chance to maintain large-scale FMCG exposure while gaining greater autonomy, visibility and influence than many metro-based roles.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering, maintenance and reliability functions as a senior site leader
* Drive reliability-centred maintenance, preventative strategies and continuous improvement
* Optimise plant performance to reduce downtime and improve cost efficiency
* Lead capital works, long-term planning and maintenance strategy execution
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and food production standards
* Build capability, engagement and accountability across the engineering team
About You
You are a commercially minded engineering leader with strong FMCG experience and a track record of delivering reliability and performance outcomes.
You will bring:
* Tertiary engineering qualifications (Mechanical preferred)
* Senior leadership experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
* Proven success in reliability improvement, maintenance systems and CI frameworks
* Strong project and capital works delivery experience
* High safety focus with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience using CMMS systems (MEX highly regarded) and data-led decision making
