Location: Gympie QLD| Full time, Permanent role
**Position Summary**:
- We have a fantastic development opportunity based at our Gympie coffee factory for an Operational Buyer.- The Operational Buyer manages all the transactional process and documents for Procurement to ensure the adequate and timely supply of materials to support manufacturing operations.
**A day in the life of...**:
- Reporting to the Factory Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the Oceania business by coordinating the supply of materials to the factory.
- Key responsibilities are:
- Manage procurement processes for material purchasing; and communicate requirements through to vendors.
- Work with production planners to ensure all materials are available on time and in full to support planned manufacturing activities.
- Provide accurate and timely vendor schedules to suppliers and maintain materials & delivery Non-Conformances.
- Ensure a high degree of accuracy of procurement related transactional data.
- Ensure that agreed service levels with internal stakeholders are maintained and undertake root cause analysis and corrective actions in situations where deviations are identified.
- Actively support and participate in Safety, Health and Environment, Food Safety and Quality improvement activities and projects.
**What will make you successful**:
- Developed analytical skills, including SAP experience.
- Highly developed understanding of demand and supply planning and inbound material management
- Confident communicator, able to multi-task, prioritise, and adapt to change.
- Eye for detail, able to spot opportunities and proactively manage risk.
- CPIM or supply chain tertiary qualification advantageous.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
