Due to recent project wins, we are seeking Engineering Manager to join our team in the Newcastle office.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee engineering and design aspects of mineral processing engineering projects, including conceptual design, feasibility studies and detailed engineering for the disciplines of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, providing technical expertise, guidance and mentorship to ensure project objectives are met.
- Be responsible for technical approval and sign-off of the project’s engineering and design.
- Collaborate with Functional Managers (Mechanical / Civil & Structural / Electrical and Instrumentation) to ensure positive project outcomes from a technical and schedule perspective.
- Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, develop project scopes, and deliver customized solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies, with a focus on health, safety and environmental stewardship.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team, promoting innovation, excellence and professional development.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive experience with discipline engineering within a mineral processing EPCM environment, with proven leadership experience.
- Strong technical expertise in mineral processing principles, technologies and equipment.
- Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion, focusing on safety, technical quality and client satisfaction.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with emphasis on planning, scheduling and budgeting.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practices.
