An opportunity is now available for a Senior Technical Training Specialist on the Land 19 Phase 7B Support Program, providing support services for the Advanced Short Range Ground Based Air Defence capability delivered under the acquisition contract to the Australian Army.
The Senior Technical Training Specialist is responsible for the analysis and design of training solutions, as well as development and delivery of the training courses and material responsible for ensuring the training requirements of the program and/or personnel are met.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Applies expertise in training analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation to enable training solutions for the program.
- Integrates training analysis work with the National Training Framework and Australian Qualification Framework.
- Creates and controls training elements of the project plans to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Creates training content in accordance with the Defence Training Model or Systems Approach to Defence Learning.
- Analyses, designs, and records training device functional requirements for the programs training device suite.
- Leads the training analysis and design activities to enable training development.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Requires a University Degree in Education, Training & Assessment, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience.
- Requires advanced knowledge of training analysis, design, and development.
- Requires expertise of Ground Based Air Defence systems and enabling technologies.
- Requires expertise in Ground Based Air Defence concepts of deployment and operation.
- Sound knowledge of IT based command and control systems.
- Previous experience making improvements to processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the work area.
- Demonstrated knowledge of training systems approaches across the training life cycle.
- An understanding of the implications of failing to achieve results in terms of the significant impact on the Function's / Product Line's objectives and on the administration of the organisation, and/or program.
- Ability to draw on prior technical experience to analyse and solve difficult problems in consideration of a broader set of issues across multiple work areas or specialities.
- Technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems, electronics, communications, radar, or networking are considered highly desirable.
