Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects (VFX) Technical Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing cutting-edge visual effects for film and television productions.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Create particle, rigid-body, fluid, cloth, fur, and/or hair simulations or animations using Maya and Houdini software.
* Apply lighting and shaders to produce the final rendered image or pass the simulation on to a Lighting Technical Director.
* Work in partnership with other departments to ensure that shots are delivered to the highest possible standard.
* Design and create image elements, effects, pipelines, tools, and techniques to meet project requirements.
* Produce reviewable composites of all FX elements for a shot, sometimes also producing final renders.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Extensive experience in VFX software such as Maya and Houdini.
* Strong understanding of lighting and shading principles.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks accordingly.
