About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with statutory regulations, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making, as well as providing essential support to the wider finance team through financial management, reporting, and process improvements.
Key Accountabilities
Financial and Statutory Reporting
* Ensure timely completion of monthly transactions and reconciliations.
* Maintain the accounting ledger to ensure financial data reflects accurate and reliable results.
* Lead the preparation of statutory accounts.
* Act as first point of contact with external auditors and ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements.
Management Reporting
* Analyse financial performance, monitor KPIs, and provide in-depth explanations
* Assist in the preparation of monthly and end-of-period reports for the Executives and Board.
Finance Partnering
* Partner with the relevant business stakeholders to assist with financial performance management toward targets
Treasury Management
* Assist in monitoring compliance with the investment policy.
* Assist in preparation of weekly and quarterly reporting, ensuring liquidity and the effective management of investments.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Essential:
* Statutory accounting experience and familiarity with Accounting Standards
* Management of external audit process
* Experience running end of month close and balance sheet reconciliations
* Financial Services experience
* CA/CPA qualified
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems
Desirable (but not must have):
* Health Insurance experience
* Public practice audit experience
