Job Summary
Elders seeks a seasoned professional to lead the execution of the national bulk fertiliser strategy across South Australia and Victoria/Riverina.
The successful candidate will oversee procurement, pricing, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to ensure product availability, margin growth, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development and execution of the national fertiliser category strategy and business plan.
* Manage daily fertiliser demand and coordinate timely order placements across branches.
* Execute the national supplier ranging strategy in alignment with preferred agreements.
* Monitor and optimise inventory levels and financial reporting related to fertiliser stock.
* Provide guidance on local market pricing dynamics and support branches with competitive pricing strategies.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive category growth and operational improvements.
* Lead and support branches with regulatory compliance, product knowledge, and marketing initiatives.
Requirements
* Strong background in retail distribution, inventory management, and business planning with experience tracking KPIs.
* Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative leadership approach.
* Results-driven with strong commercial acumen, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
* Highly organised with exceptional self-management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Motivated to develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental standards with a proactive attitude.
* A valid driver's licence is essential to travel across branches and supplier sites.
* Tertiary qualification in agriculture, business, or a related field is preferred. Experience in sales or agricultural settings is highly regarded.
