Title: CNC Programmer (Mastercam) Location: Waco, TX Type: Full-Time
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our team and play a critical role in driving precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our machining operations. This position is responsible for developing optimized CNC programs, collaborating with machinists and engineering, and helping scale our programming standards as we grow.
This is not a "button-pushing" role — we are looking for someone who takes ownership of the entire machining strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
* Develop efficient toolpaths for multi-axis CNC machines (3, 4, and 5-axis preferred)
* Collaborate with machinists to refine setups, reduce cycle times, and improve quality
* Select tooling, cutting strategies, and workholding methods
* Troubleshoot machining issues and implement improvements
* Maintain organized program documentation and revision control
* Support quoting efforts with machining strategy and time estimates
* Continuously improve programming standards, templates, and best practices
Qualifications
* 3+ years of CNC programming experience
* Strong proficiency in Mastercam (required)
* Deep understanding of machining processes (milling/turning)
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
* Experience with multi-axis machining preferred
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work closely with shop floor personnel
