ICT Cyber Security Analyst
This role provides first-line risk advisory and control monitoring services related to information security and applications/systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender suite, and Splunk.
* Perform security event analysis, threat hunting, and incident investigation.
* Support ISM/PSPF compliance, Essential Eight maturity assessments, and IRAP responsibilities.
* Contribute to security policy, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in risk management within the Australian financial or insurance industry.
* Strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively.
* Experience working with other lines of defence of an established Australian financial services and insurance organisation, conducting control testing, assurance, and assistance in IT-related internal and external audits.
* Hands-on IT operation experience/exposure, especially in information/cyber security, is highly desirable.
* Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
* Professional, deadline-driven, able to work both autonomously and as part of a team to effectively deliver outcomes.
* Experience with Azure/AWS cloud security monitoring.
* Previous Commonwealth government or defence industry experience.
