About the Organisation

Laynhapuy Health is a community-controlled health service committed to delivering culturally responsive, high-quality primary and allied health care to remote Aboriginal communities in East Arnhem Land. We work collaboratively with families, carers, and community stakeholders to promote holistic health and wellbeing.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to provide community-based care to clients across the remote Laynhapuy Homelands. This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive multidisciplinary team, travel to remote communities, and make a meaningful difference in the health outcomes of Aboriginal families.

Your Impact

* Deliver timely, culturally and clinically appropriate physiotherapy services tailored to individual client needs.
* Carry out client assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate care with families, carers, and healthcare providers.
* Escalate clinical presentations to Remote Area Nurses, off-site GPs, or Directing Medical Officers as required.
* Contribute to service delivery improvements and support group health promotion programs.
* Maintain accurate client records and provide monthly KPI reporting.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and community stakeholders.
* Travel to remote communities for outreach services, typically 4 days per week, with 1 day per week for administrative tasks.

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration.
* Current NT Ochre Card / NDIS Worker Screening Check and valid (Manual) Driver's License.
* Experience providing physiotherapy in remote or Aboriginal community settings.
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and ability to work effectively with diverse clients.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Empathic, resilient, self-motivated, and culturally aware.
* High ethical and professional standards, with a result-driven and client-focused attitude.
* Able to travel 4WD or light aircraft.
* A high level of personal fitness due to the physically demanding nature of remote work.
