Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Trade Planner. As a key member of the electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing detailed work orders for electrical maintenance tasks that support safe and efficient execution by trade personnel on board Collins Class Submarines and within workshop environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and determine correct maintenance standards and drawings to develop consistent work packs.
* Generation of work orders and work scope in an efficient manner in line with business and work group priorities.
* Ensure work can be carried out safely and reliably by relevant personnel.
* Liaise with stakeholders to prioritise and revise work plans as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in electrical maintenance and/or engineering. Ideally, you bring at least 7 years post-trade experience, but we value capability and attitude just as much as tenure. You have a solid understanding of electrical maintenance principles and know how to plan and coordinate work effectively.
Key qualifications include:
* Electrical trade qualification or engineering technician background.
* Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within shipbuilding, submarine, or heavy engineering environments.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
