Helping Hand is a leading provider of aged care in South Australia, established in 1953. We support older people with dignity, independence and personalised care.
Responsibilities
* Support residents to live a life with dignity, choice and independence.
* Work as part of a diverse team that includes nurses, allied health professionals, and hotel services staff.
* Deliver personal care that is connected, personalised and considerate, in line with Helping Hand's service ethos.
* Maintain residents' privacy rights.
* Participate in learning activities to enhance understanding of resident needs.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Aged Care or studying toward a nursing qualification, with completed placement stages.
* Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
* Minimum 6–12 months of experience as a care worker (ideally in aged care).
* Ability to operate smartphones and apps such as Microsoft Outlook.
* Valid NDIS worker screening check, or willingness to obtain one.
* Right to work in Australia and hold relevant security or health checks.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in the aged care sector.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Demonstrated decision‐making, initiative and the ability to work independently.
* Current First Aid certificate.
