The Regional Partnership Coordinator plays a pivotal role in this endeavour.
About the Role
The Queensland Fire Department provides fire prevention, preparedness and response services to built and landscape environments, as well as scientific and specialist capabilities to regional communities.
We offer multi-hazard emergency response, including bushfire, hazardous material, technical rescue and severe weather incidents, supporting community safety outcomes.
This encompasses collaboration between Queensland Fire and Rescue (QFR) and Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ), working together to pre-empt, prevent, mitigate and manage consequences of fires and other emergencies on regional communities and support our large volunteer membership.
You will lead work programs, provide support to staff, ensure smooth operation of the office and administrative functions.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Manage work program and administration, ensuring effective dissemination of information, achievement of work priorities and deadlines met.
* Quality check and prepare correspondence, reports, submissions and presentations as required.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships and networks with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
* Contribute to development and management of budget and human resources issues.
* Provide secretariat support to meetings and committees by preparing agendas, recording and circulation of minutes and follow up on actions and outcomes.
* Identify and research issues impacting regional responsibilities and initiate work priorities and timely action which support business operations.
* Represent and promote interest of region at internal and external meetings and forums and negotiate agreed outcomes as required.
