 
        
        About The Role 
As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide essential support to both clinical and non-clinical staff, helping ensure a smooth and efficient hospital experience. 
Your role includes: 
Coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. 
Managing appointments and maintaining accurate patient records. 
Handling incoming and outgoing calls professionally and efficiently. 
Providing administrative assistance, including filing, photocopying, ordering and stocking stationery, and other documentation tasks. 
Assisting with compilation and management of patient admission papers, consents, and clinical notes. 
Processing doctor leave requests and distributing session notices under the direction of the Manager. 
Greeting and assisting patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and empathy. 
This is a permanent part-time opportunity of a minimum 30 hours per fortnight; working a 0630-1700 shift Monday – Friday within a dynamic and supportive team. However, please note that there is also the possibility of obtaining extra hours by working in other areas of the administrative and reception teams. 
About You 
We are seeking an organised, approachable, and professional individual who thrives in a busy healthcare environment. You will have: 
Experience in medical administration or patient-facing roles (highly desirable). 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and patient management systems (e.g., Meditech). 
Knowledge of medical terminology. 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner. 
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks. 
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. 
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 
A passion for providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience. 
Remuneration: An hourly base rate of $29.78 – $32.60 plus superannuation, based on skills and experience (exclusive of penalties and allowances).

Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
