Senior Legal Strategist
About the Role
The ideal candidate will serve as the principal legal advisor to senior executives, providing expert counsel on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. This is a standalone role responsible for overseeing governance and company secretarial responsibilities.
The successful applicant will work closely with executive teams to ensure that legal frameworks enable growth while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide legal guidance on ASX listing rules, financial services regulation, privacy, and consumer law.
* Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and strategic partnerships.
* Manage engagement with external legal counsel and regulators (ASIC, ASX, OAIC, AFCA, etc.).
* Advise on key business initiatives including product development, partnerships.
* Collaborate with the Head of Risk and Compliance to maintain robust frameworks that support sound risk management and responsible innovation.
* Keep the organization informed of relevant legal and regulatory changes, ensuring proactive compliance.
Requirements
* A qualified legal professional with 10+ years PQE.
* Ideal experience in financial services, fintech, or ASX-listed companies.
* Strong understanding of corporate, financial services, consumer, and privacy law.
* Excellent commercial acumen with a pragmatic approach to balancing legal risk and business opportunity.
* Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior executives.
* Comfortable operating as a standalone legal function—hands-on, proactive, and confident managing external advisers.
