About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned ecologist to collaborate on projects across QLD and Australia. This expert will play an active role in working with diverse clients, including businesses, regulatory bodies, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality ecological services and advice to clients and colleagues
* Conduct field surveys to collect various ecological data
* Apply environmental legislation to projects across different sectors
* Develop technical reports detailing outcomes of field survey programs and implications for environmental impact assessment and management
* Manage project delivery, including proposal preparation, leading fieldwork, data analysis, and report writing
* Mentor junior staff and lead field trips
* Integrate technical work into multidisciplinary assessments and project teams
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, or related field
* 6+ years' experience in an ecological role in the environmental consulting sector or equivalent role in Government
* Experience in designing and implementing flora and fauna field surveys and monitoring programs
* Excellent flora and fauna identification skills
* Mature report writing and computer skills
* Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks
