This building company has established their brand across the New South Wales for over three decades. They are a builder/developer, building spec homes on their own land sites.
The role will work within the estimating team of a couple other Estimators, in a junior-mid-level capacity. The successful candidate will be production estimating on all projects.
As the Estimator, you will be responsible for:
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for standard home designs.
* Analyze plans, specifications, and site requirements to determine materials and labor needs.
* Generate quotes, tender documentation, and pricing proposals for clients, BOQs and purchase orders.
* Collaborate with sales, design, and construction teams to ensure cost accuracy.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, subcontractor rates, and building regulations.
* Review variations and change orders to update estimates accordingly.
To be considered for the position of Estimator you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in construction or a trade background
* Experience pricing and delivering custom homes
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience negotiating rates
* Good understanding of margins
* Ability to work Monday to Friday in an office and committing to a full-time role.
