Full-Time Farm Worker – Cropping Operation

Leigh Grange Farms is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Full-Time Farm Worker to join our established family crop farming operation located in Morawa, Western Australia. This is a permanent position offering stable, full-time employment within a professional agricultural business.
Position Overview
The successful applicant will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimising a wide range of farm machinery and equipment. A key component of the role includes working as a Harvester Technician and utilising precision agriculture technology to support efficient and productive cropping operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Operation of agricultural machinery including (but not limited to):
* Tractors
* Boom sprays
* Harvesters (including Case)
* Air seeders
* Spreaders
* Augers
* Farm vehicles (cars/utes) and other associated equipment
* Harvester setup, operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
* Use, monitoring, and optimisation of precision agriculture systems and technology, including GPS guidance, yield mapping, and variable rate technology (including Trimble systems)
* Mechanical servicing, maintenance, and repair of farm machinery
* Welding, metal work, and fabrication for machinery repairs and farm infrastructure improvements
* Auto-electrical diagnostics and repairs
* General farm duties as required to support seasonal operations
Essential Experience and Skills
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in farming or agricultural operations
* Demonstrated experience operating heavy agricultural machinery, including harvesters (preferably Case)
* Experience in advanced harvester operation and maintenance
* Experience with precision agriculture technology and systems, including Trimble GPS and guidance systems
* Strong mechanical aptitude with proven machinery maintenance skills
* Welding, metal fabrication, and repair skills
* Auto-electrical experience
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow safe work practices
