We are currently seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator – DAFF / ABF liaison to join our Port Botany warehouse team on a full‑time permanent basis.
This role is ideal for an experienced forklift operator looking to expand their skill set into quarantine and biosecurity‑controlled operations, with full training provided.
You will also be dealing with ABF (Australian Border Force) request and requirements.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on forklift role, with additional responsibility for handling DAFF / quarantine‑controlled freight in line with Australian Border Force and biosecurity requirements.
You will be responsible for safely moving, unpacking, and storing imported freight while maintaining strict compliance, safety, and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate 2–16 tonne forklifts to load and unload containers and LCL freight
* Pack and unpack sea containers using forklifts and attachments
* Handle, store, and move freight within warehouse and yard areas
* Conduct DAFF / quarantine handling activities in accordance with ABF and biosecurity requirements
* Maintain cleanliness, segregation, and compliance within quarantine zones
* Follow all safety, operational, and regulatory procedures
* Work collaboratively with warehouse, operations, and compliance team
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2 years' experience operating 2–16T forklifts
* Minimum 1 year experience in FAK container packing
* Current LF High Risk Work Licence
* Experience in a warehouse and/or transport yard environment
* Quarantine, DAFF, AQIS or ABF‑related experience highly regarded (training provided if required)
* Strong safety focus and attention to detail
* Good communication skills and a team‑focused attitude
