We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead workshop and field operations across multiple sites. You will drive efficiency, implement process improvements, and ensure high-quality outcomes in heavy repair, reclamation, and refurbishment services.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee repairs, reclamation, and refurbishment activities, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery;
* Plan and manage on-site teams for industrial shutdowns and emergency projects;
* Manage budgets, forecasts, operational costs, and identify efficiency or revenue opportunities;
* Act as the main operational contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and service excellence;
* Oversee procurement, inventory, and logistics for workshops and field operations;
* Maintain safety and quality standards, including technical governance; and
* Lead, mentor, and develop teams while promoting a strong safety culture.
About You
* 5–8 years' experience in operations or site leadership within industrial or heavy repair services;
* Strong knowledge of welding, wear repair, or refurbishment processes;
* Proven experience managing field teams and industrial shutdowns;
* Experience with ERP/work-order systems and operational KPIs;
* Trade or tertiary qualification in engineering, operations, or related field preferred;
* Welding inspector/procedure knowledge and Cert 10 advantageous;
* Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills; and
* Strategic thinker with practical implementation ability and excellent communication.
