The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced commercial professionals to join the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project team in a dual-level opportunity at ASO6 (Commercial Advisor) and ASO7 (Senior Commercial Advisor).
In these roles, you will provide high-level commercial advice and support the effective governance and delivery of the T2D main works Alliance contract. You will contribute to best practice commercial management across the North‑South Corridor Program Delivery Office, working closely with the Manager, Commercial and key stakeholders to manage complex commercial matters and support successful project outcomes.
The ASO7 role also provides leadership in overseeing day‑to‑day commercial activities and supporting strategic decision‑making, while the ASO6 role focuses on specialist advice and operational commercial support.
About You
You are an experienced commercial professional with strong expertise in construction contracts and a track record of delivering sound commercial outcomes in complex environments.
At ASO6 level, you bring hands‑on experience managing complex contracts, with the ability to negotiate effectively, provide clear advice and support practical solutions under broad direction.
At ASO7 level, you demonstrate significant commercial leadership, with advanced capability in contract interpretation, dispute management and providing strategic advice on high‑risk, high‑value matters.
Across both levels, you communicate clearly, build strong relationships, manage risk proactively and apply strong analytical skills to achieve customer‑focused, commercially sound outcomes.
Educational Qualifications
ASO6
* Tertiary qualifications in Law, Engineering and or other relevant disciplines would be highly regarded.
ASO7
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Commerce, Engineering, Construction, or a related field would be highly regarded.
Special Conditions
* A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
* Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to (5) five years
Remuneration
ASO6 - $98,478 to $104,165 pa + superannuation
ASO7 - $108,109 to $116,864 pa + superannuation
