We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in a quick-paced kitchen, a passion for preparing high-quality dishes, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Key responsibilities include preparing and presenting menu items to a high standard, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient service.

Task & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining consistency, flavour, and high standards.
- Season, portion, and present meals with attention to detail, using sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments.
- Inspect and monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Controlling the heat levels of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and meals in temperature-controlled environments.
- Modify food preparation to accommodate dietary requirements and customer preferences.
- Contribute to menu planning, including estimating ingredient needs and managing food costs.
- Provide support, training, and mentorship to apprentices and other kitchen staff.
Qualification & Experience
- Relevant qualification with at least one year of demonstrated experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients, and food preparation techniques.
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices, hygiene requirements, and kitchen compliance standards.
- Expertise in portion control, food presentation, and ensuring consistent quality across all dishes.
- Experience in menu planning, forecasting ingredient needs, and overseeing stock management.
- Skilled in modifying dishes to meet dietary requirements and special customer requests.
