Job Description:
Commissioning Engineers play a crucial role in bringing large-scale solar, wind, and battery systems online. As an experienced Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning HV/LV electrical systems, protection schemes, and controls for renewable generation and storage projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commissioning HV/LV electrical systems, protection schemes, and controls for renewable generation and storage projects
* Carrying out system testing including continuity, insulation resistance, and functional checks
* Supporting compliance processes, including validation testing and execution of commissioning plans
* Collaborating with engineering and construction teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning
* Ensuring all systems meet safety and compliance requirements for grid connection
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent trade background
* Proven commissioning experience in HV substations, renewable energy assets, or grid-connected plant
* Familiarity with R1/R2 testing processes
* Strong understanding of protection, SCADA, and control systems
* Ability to deliver under project deadlines with a safety-first approach
