About the role We have a fixed term opportunity until February 2027 for a Planning Engineer within our Asset Investment Planning team. You’ll undertake integrated asset planning, helping to optimise decisions for asset investment timing, scope, management of risk and improving customer service levels for our water schemes in the Perth Metropolitan area. This role will be based in Leederville and reporting to the Team Leader – Metro Water Networks. What the role will involve Undertake hydraulic modelling and analysis for the assessment of asset and system performance and risk to inform investment decisions Undertake water network planning and develop capital, operating, regulatory, monitoring and maintenance plans Develop investment programs, business cases and projects that mitigate risk and meet our asset management objectives Engage with internal and external stakeholders regarding planning options, solutions and recommendations About you You’ll have a qualification in civil engineering or relevant discipline, along with conveyance planning for water and/or wastewater schemes, demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic modelling, report writing and presentation skills. Previous experience with financial analysis, including discounted cash flow analysis, and ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders will be useful in this role.
