Join our dynamic team at Jacobs as a Principal Systems Engineer in our Perth office, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the ANZ Rail & Transit team's delivery of technical solutions across our diverse client base. As a Principal, you'll provide technical leadership whilst embodying Jacobs' core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse cultural ethos that reflects our Culture of Caring. Your ability to set clear technical direction and serve as a strong role model for client focus and responsiveness will be key. Your well-established client relationships will be instrumental in identifying and anticipating client needs, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
In this role, you'll be a pillar of support for the SESA Section, encouraging engagement, resilience, and adaptability. You'll inspire the team to pursue innovation while maintaining exceptional project delivery standards and practicing responsible, proactive technical management. Your expertise will be invaluable as you guide projects through various lifecycle phases and assist our clients in achieving construction objectives during post-design stages. A critical aspect of your role will be ensuring all deliverables comply with Safety Assurance and Systems Engineering principles.
Your influence will extend across the ANZ region as you support projects and lead technical delivery, effectively managing both Jacobs staff and contractors. Here's what you'll need
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline
Demonstrable Systems Engineering expertise and leadership across the engineering lifecycle.
Ability to lead SE projects, including client interface, management of team activities, budget allocation and time management
Effective communication skills including technical writing and verbal communication.
We are happy to consider applicants with Systems Engineering expertise from other industries outside of Rail.
