Safety Leadership Opportunity
As a highly skilled Snr. HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving safety standards that meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
This is an 18-month project, commencing in a future time period, and a meaningful opportunity to gain real-world safety experience while contributing to a project that will shape the future of the community.
* Conduct site inspections, mentor teams, and ensure compliance with OFSC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
* Drive proactive safety culture through best practice implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Report on HSE performance, manage incident investigations, and oversee corrective actions.
* Train and develop staff, enhance subcontractor management, and ensure prequalification standards.
* Support procurement processes to engage compliant subcontractors and maintain site safety records.
About You
You must hold a Diploma or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, equipping you with the expertise to lead safety initiatives on complex projects.
Possess over 5 years of practical experience in civil construction, particularly on Major Roads projects, giving you a deep understanding of the safety challenges and intricacies involved in large-scale operations.
Demonstrate your commitment to safety at every level with certifications in Environmental Awareness, First Aid/CPR, and Fire Warden Training.
Leverage your keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively, thriving in fast-paced environments.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management/reporting systems, with a strong foundation in document control for inspection and compliance.
A valid Driver's Licence is crucial.
