A Federal Government program is seeking APS 6 Data Specialists to support the uplift of data capability across a large, complex delivery program. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, ideal for candidates who enjoy working with unstructured data and transforming it into reliable, decision-ready insights.
You will work closely with a senior data lead and program stakeholders to improve data structures, reporting, and analytics that support program management and oversight.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, consolidate, and manage data from multiple sources
* Clean, standardise, and validate complex datasets to improve accuracy and consistency
* Support the development of logical data frameworks and models
* Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI
* Improve the automation, consistency, and repeatability of reporting processes
* Prepare data outputs for senior stakeholders, program managers, and external reporting
* Document data definitions, assumptions, and reporting logic to support governance, audit, and business continuity
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in data analysis and reporting within complex program environments
* Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with Power BI
* Proven ability to work with fragmented and high-volume datasets
* Experience supporting program management or delivery-focused teams
* Background in large-scale government programs highly regarded
* Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills
