Aircraft Engine Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing heavy engine maintenance activities, including strip, detailed inspection, and assembly. They must ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved publications, technical data, and work instructions.
Key duties include:
* Maintenance of Gas Turbine Engines: Performing routine maintenance tasks on the F414 and F135 engines used in the defence sector.
* Documentation of Work: Maintaining accurate records of work in progress and composing maintenance worksheets as required.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements at all times.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical): A minimum qualification requirement for this position.
* Technical Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of gas turbine engine strip, inspection, and assembly procedures.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
