The day-to-day
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the Stafford Warehouse and manage our entire receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will manage the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products, supported by 3 Department Team Leaders.
* Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
* Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, international order processing and oil Kit sub-contracting operations
* Set up layout and ensure efficient space utilisation
* Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedure
* Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
* Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
* Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
* Liaise with internal departments, other warehouses across Australia, suppliers, and transport companies
* Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
* Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
* Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
* Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
The Essentials
* Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
* Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
* Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
* Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and database
* Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively
* Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills
* 10+ years' experience in managing a complex warehouse operation
* A tertiary qualification in logistics, warehouse management/supply chain management will be an advantage
* Current unrestricted drivers licence
* Forklift ticket
