Job Title: Security Operations Specialist

About the Role:
The role of a Loss Prevention Associate is to maintain the security of stores within their district. This involves performing duties at the district stores as required, acting as a visual deterrent to criminal activity, responding to incidents, promoting compliance, and supporting the Loss Prevention strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
- Deter theft and fraud by completing high profiling activities and providing exceptional customer service
- Ensure all physical security systems are operational and functioning correctly, including CCTV, alarms, monitors, tethers, security tags, detachers, locks, safes, punch code locks, and keys
- Manage customer access to tethered items and products in cabinets
- Manage alarm codes for the store
- Respond to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) gate activations
- Respond to incidents and gather preliminary evidence, including incident details, CCTV footage, and property information
- Refer serious incidents to the Loss Prevention Manager
- Identify and rectify any non-compliance with the merchandise protection guide
- Review EAS to CCTV reporting and notify the Loss Prevention Manager of known thefts
- Conduct random Stock on Hand (SOH) checks to test inventory accuracy
- Conduct random bag checks on customers and associates
- Conduct random locker checks
- Conduct random delivery checks to test inventory accuracy
- Provide Loss Prevention Awareness training
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Promote compliance with all policies and procedures
- Support stores with cash collection and change processes
- Work with Store Management to administer the Understock Detection and Administration process

Ideal Qualifications:
- A current Security Industry Employee Licence
- A current driver's license and access to a motor vehicle
- At least 3 years of Loss Prevention experience
- Flexible with local travel and working hours
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to influence others and build relationships
- Results-driven approach
