Associate Director – Regulatory Reporting Compliance

Join our newly formed Regulatory Reporting Compliance team, based in Sydney, and play a key role in ensuring Macquarie fulfills its APAC OTC derivatives and other transaction reporting obligations, including by providing compliance advice to Macquarie’s businesses for the ongoing management of these requirements.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?
As an Associate Director, you will ensure day to day reporting obligations are met, including timely investigation and resolution of exceptions, and that adequate processes, controls and governance are in place as part of incident and issues management. You will contribute to change management initiatives driven by regulatory change or Macquarie’s strategic initiatives, liaising closely with internal stakeholders to deliver these. You will attend and actively participate in relevant Steering Committees as well as external industry forums and working groups.

In addition, you will be responsible for the ongoing management of Line 2 monitoring, review and challenge activities related to OTC derivatives transaction reporting, collaborating with internal stakeholders to prepare and effect communications with regulators on transaction reporting matters, including breach/incident notification, responses to regulatory queries and obtaining regulatory clarification or advice on reporting requirements.

What You Offer

- Demonstrable experience in a Compliance advisory, risk or controls’ role with exposure to OTC derivatives transaction reporting obligations
- Strong risk and control mindset, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide spectrum of business stakeholders and functions
- Ability to proactively identify and analyse complex problems and propose viable solutions
- Prior knowledge of financial markets and OTC derivatives products.
