Surematch Recruitment is currently supporting a valued client with an urgent requirement for a qualified Psychologist or Counsellor in Mount Isa, QLD. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary youth mental health service making a genuine impact in a regional community.
About the Role
You will provide evidence‐based therapeutic support to young people aged 12‐25 experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. Working within a collaborative clinical team, you will deliver client‐centred, trauma‐informed care aligned with the headspace model.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual counselling and psychological interventions
* Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
* Deliver evidence‐based therapeutic approaches
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Contribute to a culturally safe and inclusive service environment
Essential Criteria
* Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or licensed counsellor
* Provider number
* Experience working with young people (12‐25 years)
* Strong assessment and therapeutic skills
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* National Police Check
Desirable
* Experience in regional or remote communities
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Knowledge of youth mental health frameworks
