A long-established Gold Coast law firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper to support the efficient financial management of its practice. Your New Role
You will play a central role in the firm's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth workflow across trust accounting, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and financial reporting. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational capability, and the confidence to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external accountants, and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable and payable in line with Queensland Trust Accounting requirementsPrepare documentation for taxation and reporting obligationsOversee banking functions including cheque issuing, receipting, and reconciliationsProcess weekly payroll and superannuationEnsure all financial transactions comply with firm policies and regulatory standardsSupport staff with financial queries and internal processesLiaise with external accountants, auditors, and service providersAssist with office management tasks including insurance, IT coordination, software implementation, and petty cash.Implement AML compliance and trust accounting processes
What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping role in QueenslandStrong understanding of trust accounting obligations and complianceExperience using XEROExceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
