Key Responsibilities
* Providing practical, solutions-based legal advice across credit, consumer finance, regulated products, contracts, and general commercial issues.
* Supporting the rollout of new technology and digital banking products.
* Advising on compliance obligations, including AFSL and ACL requirements.
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
* Working closely with risk, compliance, product, operations, and executive teams on strategic projects.
* Managing external counsel where required.
* Promoting a strong and proactive risk culture by identifying, analyzing, mitigating, or accepting risks in line with our risk appetite.
* Partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical solutions and manage expectations effectively.
Requirements
* A minimum of 6 years PQE, either from a financial services organization or a banking and finance-focused team in private practice.
* Experience across regulated financial products, consumer law, credit, or general commercial law.
* Interest in working in a modern, technology-enabled banking environment.
* Australian Practicing Certificate.
